or how I interpret it, the most canon au aha.

I always pictured Chihiro to be a more…”accidental” mastermind (evidence supported by both games and other sources). But— if a more aggressive/traditional mastermind role was taken, Chihiro comes off as a more “passive” schemer to me, someone who works in the background and acts as a sinister “big brother” force versus the flashiness of the true mastermind.

_{might write my actual thoughts on it eventually since I really love mastermind!chihiro for a lot of reasons (not just because chihiro's my fav character cough). gonna be ultra spoilery for both games if I talk too much about it too much here though--}

ahem anyway this is an entry for %Dangan-Ronpa's mastermind contest! spent a lot of time on this and I'm quite happy about how it turned out. all the wires and stuff were especially fun to draw, and I'm glad they were because this piece would have been an absolute paint to execute otherwise. enjoy!
